Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By using Check Engine Help ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
Check Engine Help provides AI-assisted vehicle diagnostic information based on trouble codes, symptoms, and vehicle data you provide. The Service is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional automotive diagnosis.
3. No Professional Advice
The diagnostic output, code definitions, severity labels, driveability guidance, and mechanic briefs are AI-generated estimates. They do not constitute professional mechanical advice, warranty guidance, or repair authorization. Always confirm findings with a qualified technician before authorizing repairs.
4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide (VIN, codes, symptoms). Inaccurate input may produce inaccurate output. You agree not to use the Service to generate emissions-defeat guidance, circumvent manufacturer safety systems, or produce content intended to mislead repair facilities.
5. Accounts
You may create an account to save vehicles and case history. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Intellectual Property
AI-generated code definitions and diagnostic summaries are owned by Check Engine Help. You may share mechanic briefs with your repair facility. You may not scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute code library content.
7. Limitation of Liability
Check Engine Help is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to incorrect diagnoses, delayed repairs, or parts replacement based on Service output.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
